Molybdenum Tungsten Alloy is composed of molybdenum and tungsten and is obtained through powder metallurgy. HM provides high-precision molybdenum tungsten alloy products in various forms, including rods, plates, sheets, bars, tubes, blocks, pellets, wires, and discs, all crafted to ensure exceptional quality and customer satisfaction. Molybdenum tungsten alloy is a solid-solution alloy composed of molybdenum and tungsten, both refractory metals. It combines molybdenum’s good ductility and workability with tungsten’s extremely high melting point and density, with properties varying based on tungsten content.

The main advantage is better room-temperature toughness and machinability. Pure tungsten is very brittle and difficult to machine, while molybdenum tungsten alloys (especially with medium to low tungsten content) are easier to cut, forge, and work with, reducing manufacturing cost and difficulty.

In a vacuum or inert atmosphere, it can be used at temperatures above 1800°C, depending on the tungsten content. However, in air, it oxidizes rapidly at high temperatures, limiting its use in oxidizing environments to typically below 400-500°C.
